Funeral for a Friend

The procession moves slowly passed

From my spot on the sidelines

I am only a spectator

I can do nothing but watch

I gave you my heart

And you promised to take care of it

I was naive

To trust

Now, as I watch it pass by, I weep

At this small funeral with an attendance of one,

I mourn my broken heart.
